Fully Clothed Christianity

As we continue our series in Ephesians 4, we’re diving into what it means to live fully clothed in Christ. In verses 25-32, Paul gives us a powerful image: just like we change our clothes, we’re called to take off the old self and put on the new. But this isn’t just a passive transformation—it’s an active responsibility we must embrace with the help of the Holy Spirit.

In this week’s message, we’ll explore three key traits of a fully clothed Christian. First, we’re called to love truth (v. 25). Paul urges us to put away falsehood and speak truth to one another. Honesty is foundational for healthy relationships but also crucial for a unified church. Dishonesty destroys the fabric of trust and breeds division, whether in our personal lives or our communities.

Second, Paul addresses the issue of anger (v. 26-27). Anger itself isn’t a sin, but it can easily lead to sin if left unchecked. This week, we’ll discuss how to turn our anger into worship, action, and repentance rather than allowing the devil to use it against us. Anger should drive us toward solutions, not division or bitterness.

Finally, Paul calls us to work with integrity (v. 28-29). It’s not enough to avoid stealing; we’re called to labor honestly and be generous with what we have. Generosity isn’t just for the wealthy; it’s about a heart surrendered to God. And it doesn’t stop at our finances—it’s about how we speak, too. Our words should build up others and offer grace to those who hear them.

In all of this, Paul reminds us that our goal is to live in a way that pleases God and prepares us for Heaven. Watch this week’s message to learn what it truly means to be fully clothed in Christ—living proactively with truth, integrity, and a heart of generosity.

We’ve been journeying through Ephesians 4 to discover how we can truly become the church Jesus came to plant. You can follow along with this week’s sermon notes here.
