The Miracle Of Christmas

December 10, 2024
75

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary… Luke 1:26-27

Christmas –a miracle from a God who’s in the business of miracles. Throughout history God has used unlikely heroes and circumstances to accomplish His perfect plan.

Gideon wasn’t stopped by his resume, Timothy wasn’t stopped by his age, Deborah wasn’t stopped by her gender, Joseph wasn’t stopped by his circumstances, Job wasn’t stopped by his tragedy, the widow wasn’t stopped by her poverty, Peter nor Paul were stopped by their past...

We could go on and on, but as we will see in this week’s text, Luke 1:26-38, there are four classic truths about the Miracle of Christmas that should inform our faith and be directly applied to our life in Christ:

  1. God can use anyone.
  2. Every promise will be fulfilled.
  3. The impossible will be made possible.
  4. Saying yes to God’s plan is always a good idea.

Watch the full sermon to learn four Classic Christmas truths we can all take from this passage in Luke to prepare our hearts and minds for Christ and the call of Christmas.
