1 - Is The Pope Catholic?

“If we start to fight amongst ourselves and say “my religion is more important than yours, my religion is true, yours is not,” where will that lead us? Where? It’s okay to discuss [between religions].”

So said Pope Francis this week in an address at Singapore’s Catholic Junior College. He continued:

“Every religion is a way to arrive at God. There are different languages to arrive at God, but God is God for all. And how is God God for all? We are all sons and daughters of God. But my god is more important than your god, is that true?”

“There is only one God and each of us has a language to arrive at God. Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, they are different paths,” he concluded.

This of course flies in the face of the teaching of Scripture, with 1 Tim 2:5-6 saying, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men,’ and of course the clear words of Christ, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6).

Furthermore the Catholic catechism similarly teaches, “"Jesus Christ is true God and true man, in the unity of his divine person; for this reason, he is the one and only mediator between God and men."

Many prominent conservative Catholic voices condemned Francis’ claims, but as an explicitly evangelical publication at Clear Truth, it is worth noting that a supposedly infallible church with ‘apostolic’ leadership under the ‘Vicar Of Christ’ has failed to prevent the current pontiff from falling into clear heresy in this area.

2 - Three-On-One Debate Fails To Take Out Trump

This week’s debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris was a frustrating affair for a number of reasons. Many conservatives believed that Harris would perform with a similar level of cognitive ability to (supposed) current President Joe Biden, but she had prepared better than expected and her memorized responses, while appearing mechanical, were not enough to derail her campaign.

Trump’s most successful moment, where he pointed out that Harris and the Democrats have been in power for twelve of the last sixteen years and that she is the current Vice President, meaning she has the power to enact the changes she has promised since becoming the candidate, took place at the end of the debate, and should have been used more regularly throughout.

The moderators, ABC News' David Muir and Linsey Davis, were extraordinarily biased, with the debate descending into a 3-on-1 at times, and blatant lies from Harris being overlooked while Trump was fact-checked throughout.

That said, Trump came away with the most viral moments, which are often those which have the greatest longevity and widest reach.

All in all, it is reasonable to believe that this debate was not decisive either way, falling short of Republican hopes for a knockout blow, but not costing Trump a good opportunity at winning November’s election.

3 - How Tasty Are The Cats In Springfield?

Widespread reports of household pets and park animals such as geese being eaten by Haitian immigrants caused a great deal of online ruckus this week, before being mentioned by Donald Trump in the aforementioned presidential debate.

In a viral tweet from Clear Truth contributor Michael Foster, a pastor friend of his, BJ Newman, who lives in the area confirmed that much of what is reported is in fact true.

“Regardless, at present, 20k Haitians now live in an Ohio town of 60k residents.

The results are predictable, and I can confirm the stories are true.

Traffic accidents involving Haitian drivers has skyrocketed -  property damage, hit and runs, and more. One kid was killed when a driver slammed into a school bus filled with kids.

Petty crime is out of control. Stores are locking down merchandise due to rampant theft. Driving without a license is ubiquitous,” wrote Newman.

“And, yes, the stories about Haitians killing and eating neighborhood cats and ducks from local parks is true.

I know situations like this are complicated politically and culturally, but what I get most frustrated about is when people call this kind of policy compassionate.

There is not an ounce of compassion in this situation for either the immigrants nor the citizens. The citizens are being ignored, and the immigrants are being manipulated by deep pockets somewhere.”

Naturally Trumps claims on this issue were turned into a viral song, found below. Enjoy.
