Five Things To Know About The Democratic Party Today

Here are five key things Christians need to know about the Democratic Party this week.

1 - DNC Offers Vasectomies & Abortions

With the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) currently taking place in Chicago, Planned Parenthood Great Rivers set up a mobile health clinic near the United Center, offering free vasectomies and medication abortions. Though not directly organized by the DNC, it was strategically placed to coincide with the convention, and marks something of a point of emphasis for the party, especially in light of recent legislative changes across the U.S. following the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

An 18-foot-tall inflatable IUD named "Freeda Womb" was also displayed near the convention site.

In response, Landon Schott, pastor of Mercy Culture Church near Dallas, took to Instagram to condemn the act and encourage Christians not to vote for Harris this November, according to The Christian Post, saying, “"I couldn't care less. I don't really care if you like me. I don't care if you go to our church. I care that you know God and that you're right with God. ... If you think that aligning with a party that is flippantly murdering children and celebrating it … friend, you are not on the Lord's side,"

2 - They believe in walls now, but still can’t build them

For a party that decried attempts to build a border wall as racist, it may seem somewhat hypocritical that, a security fence was erected around the United Center where the Democratic National Convention was held.

Apparently the fence was designed to do things like control the amount of people attempting to get in somewhere, and prevent undesirable characters from having access to the area in question, both things Democrats have historically declared a physical barrier incapable of doing effectively.

That said, some (even further) far-left pro-Palestine protesters breached this fence, leading to several arrests. One wonders if they were returned to the area outside the fence from which they came, or instead were given lifetime citizenship to the United Center and front row seats to the Convention.

3 - Kamala Goes Communist

Kamala Harris has made a couple of… let’s say interesting economic proposals. If you find Communism and starving to death interesting, that is.

Firstly, she has proposed legislation to ban ‘price gouging’ in response to inflation. Rather than addressing the endless debt and money printing by the US government that has caused exponential price rises, Harris has decided that Walmart and the like are inflating their prices artificially, and proposed legislation to clamp down on such behavior. For anyone to whom that sounds smart, please check out the graph below, and also remember that price gouging legislation is part of what led to rocketing food prices and starvation in Venezuela.

Secondly, she is also proposing a 25% tax on ‘unrealized gains’. For those who don’t know what that is, here’s the best way to put it: imagine you buy a house for $200k, and five years later, that house is now worth $300k. You haven’t sold the house and have no plans to do so, but your house is worth more. Congratulations; you now owe the IRS $25k. Of course, you will not get any tax back if your house goes down in value.

4 - Evangelicals For Harris

In spite of the strong pro-abortion stance of the party and the promised economic ruin, multiple big name evangelicals have come out in support of Harris and the Democratic Party.

This includes David French, who plans to vote for Harris ‘To save conservatism from itself’, Russell Moore (and likely the entire staff at Christianity Today (100% of whose political donations went to the Democratic Party), and many more.

Furthermore a group entitled Evangelicals For Harris is targeting  "on-the-fence" conservative evangelicals in swing states, aiming to sway votes to the current Vice President. Including such figures as Rev Jim Ball, Jerushah Duford (granddaughter of Bill Graham), Jemar Tisby, Ekemini Uwan and Dwight McKissic, they have thus far gathered over 200,000 evangelical Christians signatures pledging to support the Harris/Walz ticket, indicating a significant mobilization effort.

5 - Obamas Keep Focus On Vibes

With four years of mass immigration, sky-rocketing inflation, rising crime and persecution of political opponents providing a slightly less than solid foundation to say much about the achievements of the current Biden-Harris administration, the Obamas dutifully trotted out on stage at the DNC to make sure no-one paid attention to anything as meaningful as that.

Instead they did what skillful politicians do–and they really are skillful–and spoke in vague generalities, offering personal anecdotes and memories, and of course criticizing Donald Trump at every turn.

How long people can be distracted from the main concerns in their lives by such platitudes is anyone’s guess, but with just 75 days until the election, whether they’ll keep it going or not is anyone’s guess.

Oh yeah, and the current President, Joe Biden, is still around somewhere...
