All Good Things

Have you ever questioned the depth of God’s love for you? Has the enemy tried to undermine your confidence in our Father's good gifts? The accuser whispers doubts about whether we are truly cared for or left to face our battles alone –especially in life's uncertainty and challenges. The Apostle Paul offers a profound and reassuring answer to these doubts, highlighting the magnitude of God’s love and commitment to us.

Paul begins with a powerful declaration: "He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" This verse speaks to God's ultimate sacrifice, giving His own Son for our redemption. It’s a reminder that if God has already given us His very best, how much more will He provide for us in every aspect of our lives?

As we journey through these verses, Paul raises questions that challenge our deepest insecurities: "Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? Who then is the one who condemns?" These rhetorical questions are followed by a resounding assurance that no accusation, no condemnation can stand against us because Christ Jesus Himself is interceding for us at the right hand of God, always supporting us, always advocating for us.

Paul goes even further, asking, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?" The answer is clear—nothing can separate us from His love. This passage is a powerful reminder that we’re secure in God’s love and provision no matter what we face or how inadequate and undeserving we feel.

Watch this week’s sermon, All Good Things, on Romans 8:32-36 to better understand God's good gifts for His children. We will walk through some of those gifts, how the enemy and our circumstances will work to undermine our confidence in them, and then we will wrap up with powerful reminders and implications of God’s unfailing love.
