Here are a few things you need to know from this week

1 - Violence continues in Britain, Government defends Muslim gangs

Violence continued across the UK yesterday after a weekend of protests over mass immigration, some of which turned into riots. A huge protest in Plymouth was marred by scuffles with riot police, who were out in force, and was followed by large gangs of armed Muslims later roaming the streets of the usually quiet holiday resort town. Police were also filmed being pelted with petrol bombs in the Sandy Row area of Belfast.

The bulk of yesterday’s violence and intimidation, however, seemed to stem from Islamic gangs, who came out in a show of force, and were filmed in huge numbers in Birmingham with no police presence to restrain them. Many internet videos show such groups carrying swords, machetes and blunt objects, one gang was filmed violently beating a white man standing in a pub, another showed them kicking an unconscious white man in the head, yet another video showed them describing themselves as “asserting dominance,” another showed two white men being chased and beaten, and a Sky News journalist was forced to stop filming after being surrounded by masked Middle Eastern men making gun signs.

In actions that will likely fuel allegations of two-tier governance, police were either remarkably absent from or at least more conciliatory towards many of the Muslim protests, while Labour MP Jess Philips tweeted a defence of armed Muslim gangs in her constituency of Birmingham as they indiscriminately attacked white people, and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper was interviewed by the ‘impartial’ media, though the one asking the questions was none other than her own husband.

Elon Musk waded into the events online, responding to PM Kier Starmer’s claims that he would “not tolerate attacks on mosques or on Muslim communities” by asking, “Shouldn’t you be concerned about attacks on *all* communities?”

NB - The following video depicts serious violence and may be disturbing for some viewers.

2 - Biden Pauses Mass Migration Program After Scandal

“The Biden administration has temporarily halted the CHNV mass-parole program — wherein migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela are flown into the country — due to a damning internal report revealing widespread fraud,” according to the Christian Post

An internal audit found that 100,948 forms were improperly filed, and that 24 of the ‘most frequently used sponsor social security numbers’ were registered to dead people, and huge numbers of forms used ‘identical physical addresses, with one address being used between 124 and 739 times’.

Those who participate in the program receive the right to live in the US for two years, as well as work permits. There are currently around 1.6 million applicants ‘waiting for approval to travel to the U.S’.

3 - Stock Markets Bounce Back

Japanese share prices rebounded on Tuesday with a record after Monday’s shock plunge. The Nikkei 225 stock index jumped by over 10%, ‘its biggest one day gain in points’ according to the BBC

The rally took place after Japanese markets  plummeted 13 per cent in under 24 hours in their worst day since 1987.

Similar rebounds took place in Europe and the US, albeit with share prices not having fallen as steeply and therefore the recovery was also less marked.

“A huge down day, then a huge up day. Nobody has experienced a market this crazy… While the market has rebounded a lot, the bigger picture uncertainty remains — whether the Bank of Japan can now raise rates again this year, and whether the Fed will cut,” ,” Takeo Kamai, head of execution services at CLSA in Tokyo told the Financial Times

4 - Christianity Today Fawns Over Kamala Harris

“Black Christian Leaders Find Hope with Kamala Harris” - at least according to Christianity Today. In a gushing article published by the Russell Moore run magazine, Harvest Prude took quotes from multiple big-name black church leaders functionally endorsing Kamala Harris for President.

SBC Pastor Dwight McKissic of Cornerstone Baptist Church was quoted as saying, “Kamala Harris represents those who’ve been rejected among us. The support she’s galvanized is amazing to me.”

The article opened with the following:

Vice President Kamala Harris isn’t the type of politician to cite the Bible a lot.

Darryl Ford, the former pastor of a nondenominational evangelical church in Atlanta, thinks that might be a good thing.

“We’ve gotten used to seeing people who will make Bible quotations and pray for me on a Sunday, then vote to disenfranchise me on a Tuesday,” he told Christianity Today.”

It appears that Ford’s church, Ikon Community Church in Atlanta, closed in 2022

There was no mention of Harris’ record as the most liberal US senator in 2019, according to GovTrack’s recently scrubbed records.
