Biden Pressure, Trump Changes Tune, Elevation Scandal, Migrant Riots

1 - Is Biden Being Forced Out?

It looks like the Democrats have finally had enough of Joe Biden, and are making serious moves to replace him not only as the Presidential candidate for November, but as the sitting President until that time. The announcement that the President has covid, preceded by claims that he would consider stepping down if a ‘medical issue emerged’, seemed to trigger a response from many  top Democrats demanding that he step down. 

This includes former President Barack Obama, who tweeted his support after Biden’s disastrous debate against Donald Trump, but who now is apparently voicing concerns about his viability. Nancy Pelosi is also reportedly joining in calls for him to resign, alongside Rep Adam Schiff who  called on the President to “pass the torch”. (We could say that it’d be nice if they just stopped setting things on fire altogether, but that seems like wishful thinking.)

There are even reports that Biden has in fact agreed to step down, and will do so as early as this weekend. If Biden goes so far as to resign, Kamala Harris would become both President and the Democratic Presidential candidate, making history as the first ever DEI hire to ascend to such a position of power.

 

2 - Trump’s RNC Speech Shows A Change In Tone

Trump’s RNC speech would usually have been an opportunity to go on an all-out attack against a Democratic Party in total disarray, but it very much felt like the attempt on his life last Saturday has produced a more thoughtful and reflective figure, and Joe Biden’s name was only mentioned once. Instead Trump opened by talking about what happened that day, saying, “I will tell you exactly what happened and you’ll never hear it from me a second time because it’s actually too painful to tell.”

He went on to say, “And I’ll tell you, I stand before you in this arena only by the grace of almighty God.” Christian language punctuated the speech at other points, for instance when Trump later said, “There was blood pouring everywhere and, yet, in a certain way I felt very safe because I had God on my side. I thank him,” and furthermore, in a moving tribute to Corey Comperatore, quoted Scripture, saying, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for others. This is the spirit that forged America in her darkest hours, and this is the love that will lead America back to the summit of human achievement and greatness.” 

He also preached a message of unity, claiming, “I am running to be president for all of America, not half of America, because there is no victory in winning for half of America."

From the outside it appears that the Lord may be working on his heart, and we certainly look forward to seeing if the former President will make a serious profession of faith at some point in the future. 

 

3 - Elevation Church In High-Tech Sheep-Stealing Scandal

Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC, have been attempting to attract givers from other nearby churches using ‘geofencing’, according to website Protestia. Geofencing allows advertisers to target all the phones that pass through a certain location, and it turns out that when Elevation opens a new campus, rather than targeting places such as community centers, shopping malls or universities, places where the lost may gather, they specifically target their ads to reach those attending nearby churches. The reason given for this was that such people represent “a built-in tithing base.” 

This was discovered by a local pastor, Dr Michael Kelly, during a meeting with a marketer, who said that she had set up the same thing for the megachurch. The pastor rejected the idea as being immoral, and then held a meeting with Elevation’s local campus pastor to confirm whether the information was true. 

Wow. 

 

4 - Migrant Riots In The UK

Anyone wanting to see how mass immigration works out in the long run should check out yesterday’s events in the United Kingdom, where two separate cities descended into rioting. Firstly, in the city of Leeds police attempted to rescue several Roma children suffering from abuse and remove them from their home, which lit the touchpaper for large parts of the city to descend into total chaos, with large gangs of rioters, many of them Muslim, torching buses and attacking police. The local councilor for the area, Mothin Ali - who declared his electoral victory ‘a win for the people of Gaza’ (which is not particularly close to Leeds) - blamed the police for not speaking the language of the rioters.

At the same time as this, there were separate riots in the Whitechapel area of London by members of the Bangladeshi community. The reason for the riots here was that a Bangladeshi student had been killed by police… in Bangladesh. Let that sink in. 

Britain is falling apart, and the current regime there has no plans to stop it. Let the rest of the Western world take heed.
